This flexible lead free rubber sheet has been especially developed as a curtain material for use in food xray scanners. A reduction in surface friction and abrasion resistance is achieved by applying a special coating. In order to increase the tear resistance, polymer threads are encapsulated in the rubber.

Shielding equivalent of 0.125 mm or 0.250 mm Pb has been obtained through replacing Lead with other suitable metals.

Two types of material are available. The first material is compliant with US FDA tests specified under 21 CFR 177.600 (e) and 177.2600 (f) for use in food contact applications. The second is also EU compliant in accordance to regulation (EC) 1935/2004.

Material is environmentally friendly. No toxic ingredients. No disposal restrictions.

Custom size panels are available precut with strips to allow easy passage of product through the xray scanner.
