X-ray windows have a high bismuth content, providing optimum shielding against radiation from equipment operating in the 80 to 300 kV range. This is the same lead-free acrylic used in our mobile x-ray barriers.
Transparent radiation shielding is often used for viewing windows in xray scanning applications. Other common applications include:
- Medical X-Ray Radiology
- Chiropractic X-Ray
- Dental X-Ray
- Mammography
- Flouroscopy
- Angiography
- CT (Computerized Tomography)
- PET (Positron Emission Tomography)
- Nuclear Medicine
- X-Ray Security Screens
- Nuclear Facility Control Rooms
- NDT Testing Facilities
Lead-free Acrylic products are custom cut and normal shipped 3 weeks after order.
